Yeah, dropping out isn't the same thing as resigning, but if he drops out because we doubt his ability to do the job then discussing him resigning would be an eventual next step. But they aren't one and the same. And I'm not equating Biden with Nixon. If Biden resigned it would be for a completely different reason and you can't equate the two.
